Winter knots

Today was mlk day so we got to enjoy a relaxing day together. It was a day off from school so I got to enjoy coffee with my running buddies and then after running a few errands we were able to enjoy the afternoons warm sunny weather. Temps were in the 50s so we took the kids on a bike ride. That's where things got interesting. Isabella and Vincent had fun in the parking lot of a nearby church, making up routes and races. Olivia tried out Vincent's balance bike and was ready to roll...for about 40 seconds. Them poor Isabella slipped on a collection of road salt. She lost traction and went face first into the pavement. It was a rough one that left a big knot right on her forehead. It took a while for her to recover from that one. She even missed dance.
Tonight we are waiting and wondering what tomorrow will bring. Snow is expected again. (1-3 inches) that could mean another day off to spend snuggled on the couch. That's ok with me...until June!

Vincent and the matching fire hydrant!
